Question by : What paint should I use to decorate a white wooden bookshelf?
It’s already been painted white, and I want to paint quotes on the sides and edges.

What kind of paint should I use, and what paintbrush is best? Do I need to prep the surface and do I need to seal or varnish it afterwards?

Thanks!
Edit: I mean what type of paint (e.g. oil or water based), not what colour. Also, re paint pens – what do they look like and where can I look for them? Are there any brands you’d recommend?

It all depends on what color the rest of your house is and what color would go with the book shelf.

But me… I perfer a light brown color, but not too light because i believe that color goes with every wall color.

Do you forget, that the Muslim scholars and philosophers of the Middle ages, provided the basis or foundations for most modern inventions!?

If you were to remove the Muslim scholars’ and philosophers’ contributions to modern sciences, do you realise that the world would be still in the Dark ages?

Contributions to world’s history? What did the Greeks do for last 3000+ years or the Indians or the Egyptians? They were all superpowers of their times. And were the most advanced civilisation and culture of their times. By your reckoning these ancient civilisations should be now living on Mars!

Times change and things change. Always one civilsation have succeeded another.
